Stable House: A Unique Blend of Design and Hospitality

Stable House, aptly named for its resemblance to stacked containers, features a rough and original exterior built with reddish-black cultured stone. The east side of the structure is adorned with windows of varying sizes, allowing natural light to flood the interior. The hotel's exterior is a stark contrast to its interior design, which is characterized by high ceilings, cloud-shaped chandeliers, and a variety of room styles.

The hotel's interior is a testament to Lee's innovative design approach. Stainless steel plates mounted on the high ceiling create an illusion of height, while cloud-shaped chandeliers add a touch of whimsy. The first and second floors serve as public spaces for hotel guests and house a functioning tea house, further enhancing the hotel's unique appeal.

Stable House is not just a hotel; it's a space with personality. Each room has its own expression and personality, resulting in eight different suites named Indulge, Evolve, WabiSabi, Shine Flower, Pantone, Fantasy, Journey, and Ballerina. The diverse styles not only allow guests to enjoy a unique experience but also alleviate the hotel owner's concerns about room design.

The design of Stable House was realized using a variety of materials, including wood finishings, cultured stone, engineered stone, metro brick, woodgrain brick, wood shutters, epoxy, iron, glass, mirror, faux concrete paint, and PVC flooring. The project, which started in May 2016 and was completed in April 2017, faced several challenges, including managing a light feel free of vast timber decoration and creating a balance between the hard exterior and the soft interior design.

Stable House has been recognized for its unique design and innovation, winning the Golden A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2018. This prestigious award is granted to outstanding creations that reflect the designer's prodigy and wisdom and significantly impact the world with their desirable characteristics.
